Welcome Home, Earl

Earl just moved into his own home!

Like many of the people we serve, Earl entered our programs at the Torres Community Shelter during a dire time of need. He had lost his job and had nowhere to go. Our team was there to help him find his pathway home again.

Earl did well in our programs at the shelter and then moved into our transitional house for men, Friends House. He's been a model tenant there, helping to garden and maintain the property.

During this time, Earl and his Case Manager Louise worked hard on creating a successful path forward for him. She helped him save money and manage bills, helped him look for housing and fill out applications, and made sure he was connected to all of the community resources he needed to stay healthy.

Their hard work paid off, and this month, Earl was able to move into his own place. He told us he sees this as an exciting chapter in the next part of his life. Congratulations, Earl!

Louise said Earl is a gentle, easygoing person who has been a "perfect resident." He'll continue to receive case management support from us so that we can ensure he is supported and has everything he needs to be successful.

"It'll be a great way to help him transition into his own life," Louise said.

Your support makes it possible for us to help seniors like Earl find safety and stability and stay off the streets. Together, we can and will continue to change lives!
