Who We Are
At True North Housing Alliance, our team serves people experiencing homelessness or at-risk of experiencing homelessness in Butte County 24/7, 365 days a year.
We are made up of a tight-knit group of direct care providers, case managers, and administrative staff who work together to keep our shelter, street outreach, navigation center, and housing programs running smoothly day in and day out.
Over 80% of our employees have lived experience with poverty, homelessness, substance use disorder and/or mental health diagnoses. Peer support services and expertise are a key component to our programs.
We are dedicated to accepting people as they are with compassion, empathy and respect while also providing them with structure, direction and accountability. This is at the core of our mission and why we have successfully helped move people off the streets and into safe, stable housing for over 28 years.
We meet people where they are on their path to making a better life for themselves. We help move people forward and out of homelessness in Butte County with compassion, dignity, and accountability.
“ I love working here and can’t imagine ever doing anything else. I put my heart and soul into each day!”
We wouldn’t be here without you!
Breaking the cycle of homelessness takes commitment and collaboration. No one person or organization can do it alone! We’re here today because of the support of our donors, volunteers and community partners.
