Home Again
Our Mission this Giving Season
Did you know that nearly half of our clients at the Torres Community Shelter have a physical disability, and just over 40% have a chronic health condition?
This holiday season, we need your help to continue providing them with compassionate care and the critical services they need to permanently end their homelessness.
For a limited time, the impact of your donation will be doubled! Through Dec. 31st, our generous partners at Chuck Patterson Toyota and another kind friend of True North will match every dollar raised up to $50,000. Will you donate today to help us meet our goal to raise $100,000 total to shelter and house people in need?
We know that permanently ending homelessness requires more than just a roof over one's head—it's about addressing the root causes.
This is why we are continuing to implement innovative new programs improving accessibility and provide mental health and substance use counseling services, vocational training, social enrichment, and a full year of additional case management to every individual we serve even after they are housed.
As a result, True North is helping more people secure housing and stay housed, dramatically reducing returns to homelessness. This year we have permanently housed over 130 people.
This holiday season, let’s work together to help unhoused folks with chronic illnesses and physical disabilities find their way Home Again!

About GivingTuesday
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good.
Since then, GivingTuesday has grown into a year-round global movement inspiring hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.
By donating to our Home Again campaign, you also support the spirit of Giving Tuesday and:
Join a worldwide movement spanning 80 countries that helped raise $3.1 billion for charity and programs like ours in 2022.
Join a local movement across Butte County that helped raise over $85,000 for local nonprofits like ours in 2021.
Join our mission to make a difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness who have a chronic illness and/or physical disability. Last year, we raised over $134,000 in our Home Again campaign to secure safe shelter and housing for seniors.
Every act of generosity counts!
