Home Again 2024

Our Mission this Giving Season

Your donation today not only provides seniors with a home for the holidays, but it saves lives.

We are continuing to see an unprecedented number of seniors entering our Torres Shelter every year. Seniors make up 31% of those we serve at the Torres Shelter, and a staggering 98% of our guests report having a disability.

In response, we launched our annual Home Again fundraising campaign in November 2022 to gather community support for vulnerable seniors in need.

Because of the kindness of donors like you, Home Again has empowered us to provide shelter and housing services to 447 seniors!

For a limited time, the impact of your donation will be DOUBLED! Thanks to generous support from the Emil and Leonora Stiefvater Senior Endowment and another angel donor, every dollar we raise through Dec. 31st will be matched up to $45,000!

This holiday season, we need your help to continue providing seniors in need with compassionate care and the tools they need to permanently end their homelessness.

Will you donate today and help us meet our goal to raise $200,000 to shelter and house seniors in need?

About The Stiefvater Senior Endowment

The Emil & Leonora Stiefvater Senior Endowment at the North Valley Community Foundation exists to support the emotional, physical, and/or spiritual needs of older adults. Its grant program provides financial and infrastructure support to nonprofit organizations that serve seniors.

The Stiefvater Senior Endowment, along with another anonymous angel donor, has made a gift to Home Again that will generously match all donations made up to $45,000.

About GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good.

Since then, GivingTuesday has grown into a year-round global movement inspiring hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.

By donating to our Home Again campaign, you also support the spirit of Giving Tuesday and:

  • Join a worldwide movement spanning 80 countries that helped raise $3.1 billion for charity and programs like ours in 2023.

  • Join a regional movement across Butte County that helped raise over $85,000 for local nonprofits like ours in 2021.

  • Join a local movement within True North to make a difference in the lives of seniors experiencing homelessness! Since Home Again was founded in 2022, we have raised over $323,000 to secure safe shelter and housing for seniors, resulting in direct care, shelter and housing services being provided to nearly 450 seniors in need!

Every act of generosity counts!
