We need your help on #GivingTuesdayNow!

Tuesday, May 5, marks #GivingTuesdayNow, a special global day of giving launched in response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.

True North Housing Alliance is participating, and we need your help! By joining the #GivingTuesdayNow movement, you’re proving that in times of uncertainty, generosity can bring the world together.

Every act of kindness counts.

You can change the lives of the homeless adults, seniors and families that we serve while they shelter in place.

Here’s how you can make a difference:

Give. On May 5, make a donation.

Follow. Please follow us on Facebook, and invite others to do the same!

Spread the word. Share what our mission means to you and why you support us! If you're posting on social media, use the hashtag #GivingTuesdayNow, and tag us!

Share the love. Our guests are touched when they receive words of encouragement and appreciation from the community. Mail any letters or works of art to the Torres Community Shelter, 101 Silver Dollar Way, Chico, CA, 95928.

Donate. Drop off hygiene products, including shampoo, conditioner, soap/body wash, deodorant and lip balm, for our guests at the Torres Shelter.

Volunteer (with a twist). While we currently aren’t allowing volunteers to prepare and serve meals at the Torres Shelter due to safety concerns, we still need your help! Please consider donating pre-packaged (e.g., canned or boxed) food items or a bag that contains all the fresh ingredients needed for a meal. The guests in our vocational meal program will then prepare your generously donated items on-site in our kitchen.

Stay updated. Please sign up for emails from us! We’ll send you important updates, as well as our newsletter. All you need to do is submit your email in the box at the bottom right corner of our website.

Reach out. You can always give us a call at (530) 891-9048 or send an email to info@truenorthbutte.org to get in touch with our organization and find out how you can make a difference.

Together, we will get through this and build a stronger community. Together, we will continue to move people forward, out of homelessness, with compassion, dignity and accountability.
